Chandrachur Singh was born on 11 October 1968. He is a Bollywood actor. He debuted in 1996 with the film Tere Mere Sapne. He went on to star in a commercially and critically successful film Maachis(1996) opposite Tabu. The film fetched him Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut Award. He mainly succeeded in multi-starrer movies like Kya Kehna(2000), Josh(2000), Daag: The Fire(1999), Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyaa(2001), Bharat Bhagya Vidhata(2002), Chaar Din Ki Chandni, The Reluctant Fundamentalist,Zilla Ghaziabad. He faced lots of ups and downs in career due to his severe injury of shoulder causing him to gain weight.
